Mark Ellmore is spearheading this campaign for Larry as well as the previously successful one in 2007



Mark Ellmore�s dedication to Northern Virginia includes a half-century of residency and service. Born and raised in Alexandria, Mark�s large family suffered the loss of his fire-fighter father when Mark was only 4 years old. The youngest of seven siblings of a working, widowed mom, Mark learned quickly the importance of strong values, an intrinsic work ethic, and the opportunity that the metropolitan area can offer an individual of any background.

Currently serving as Chairman of the Board of the Know the Truth International Missions, Board member of O.A. R. Offender Aide and Restoration, and the Kingstowne Soccer Association (providing scholarships to disadvantage students), Mark�s service the community, coupled with his professional endeavors of 32 years in the banking and financial services industry, allow him to continuously engage the community.

Running for the Virginia 8th District Congressional seat in 2008, Mark spearheaded an advocacy for seniors and was instrumental in the aid effort for Larry Haubner. Mark�s commitment to seniors include his outspoken position for Senior Choice in which earned medical benefits for seniors should include their own choice to use those dollars at a facility that best suits their individual needs. Working with families and the seniors directly, senior benefits should include some choice for assisted or full nursing care facilities. Mark�s tireless work to bring this issue to the forefront of the community mindset has benefited seniors, in particular Larry Haubner, by brining national attention to this situation in June 2007.
